I purchased a gasoline engine for my truck remanufactured by LKQ/ATK and it was installed on 6/28/19. The truck had 116,612 miles on it when the engine was installed at a very reputable service shop in my area. On 8/9/20, the internal components in the engine failed and punctured a hole in the engine oil pan. The engine oil emptied out onto the road and the engine seized. This failure was at 120,179 miles. I was told by their warranty advisor that even though the engine is barely out of the warranty period (which I was told is 12 months) and the engine had only 3,567 miles on it, that they cannot honor the warranty. That is not even is not even 2 oil changes worth of driving on a vehicle. I spent $3,429.64 on the engine and would have like to get close to getting what I paid for. If the engine was properly remanufactured, it would not have failed with such little driving.
