Gardens of Time is a very poorly-run, and very poorly-supported game. Glitches and malfunctions make the game almost unplayable, and there is no interface at all between players and Playdom as far as what the rules are. Players are left to guess and figure things out by trial and error. Since some of the chapters are on a fixed time schedule, time lost trying to figure out the rules results in not being able to complete the chapter. Customer support is sub-standard, as well. Requests for help result in generic, computer-generated replies which frequently do nothing to address the problem. Repeated requests from players via the forums for things like a confirmation button before gold is spent have been ignored, despite the fact that most games have such a feature. Players have lost gold that they paid real money for, and in many cases, have not gotten it refunded. Playdom continually pressures players into spending money via credit card, yet seems to almost punish the people who do, in fact, spend real money. Their latest innovation, the Inner Circle, was presented with very deceptive language, resulting in many people signing up for the $15 per month charge, and then finding out that they were not getting what they had been led to expect. Complaints about this have gone ignored, as well. Overall, players are treated as nothing more than cash cows, and each new week brings a new aggravation, and obstacle to enjoyable gameplay.
