Rapid Refinance

OK, so this is long over due. I refinanced my home in June with Phil and his team. Can I say, I have met a boat load of shady characters from Car Salesman, Stock Brokers, Financial Planners and yes even Mortgage Brokers/Bankers. These guys are legit. I had this negative stigma whenever someone is selling me something. Well can you blame me? Up until the point I met Phil and Dave, his coordinator, I only trusted my Financial Planner for the past 12 years. He doesn't know it but I showed everything to my Financial Planner and he loved that Phil gave and explained to me the variety of choices I could go with on a 30 year fixed High Balance loan. Everyone in the world wanted to sell me no points/no closing cost loans which my FP said their all gimmicks and higher rates to absorb the actual closing cost which is mandated by Bank Regulators. Anyways, he offered me 3 options and showed me the benefit of each one and allowed me to make a decision. He didn't even try to push at all. So I showed my Financial Planner and it was a no brainier I choose the option for me to pay closing cost and fee's and net me a floor rate, a difference of 3.375% to a 3.00% saving me $31,000 over the term of the loan even after rolling the fee's in the loan. The only thing he was a Nazi on was gathering all my tax returns and financials which was for my own good so the underwriter can look at it once and sign of on it (26 day closing). BTW: He was very down to earth!
