I have read the reviews listed, and I am sorry to say that they are all true. I want to join a class action lawsuit, too. I used care credit to take care of my cat who had been diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. It was a very expensive procedure, so I welcomed the use of credit to pay for the treatments. Pets are like children, and, when possible, you will do anything for them. Care Credit knows this. These people are horrible thieves who leach off of serious health issues people and their animals encounter. Many times, something needs to be done immediately. Also, Care Credit knows this. They have figured out how to take advantage of the public when they are at their lowest and are looking for assistance. I have also been very diligent about making payments, but this has almost become impossible lately. They smooth talked me into a protection plan that really does nothing, even though it is supposed to help you if you have periods of unemployment. It doesn't. They also offer a "one month payment forgiveness" which is nothing more than a trick to bill you an extra month's worth of interest and create more of a financial burden all under the guise of helping customers in this tough economy. I am currently battling them to keep the balance from exceeding the limit, but they are making that impossible. I have called them various times trying to work something out, and each time they cause me more problems. The last time I called, I wanted to get some sort of help by closing the account and setting some sort of hardship amount to be paid for over a period of months like other creditors do, but Care Credit told me the only thing they were willing to offer me is to have me let my account go into default for 60 days so I could work out some sort of hardship program with collections. This is ridiculous. I'm trying to be a responsible borrower, and they are just trying to ruin me. If there is some class action lawsuit forming, please invite me to join. I'd love to give this company more than what it deserves after treating its customers like trapped prey.
