My wife and I had the displeasure of using DISCOUNT SHUTTERS AND BLINDS to install shutters in our brand new home. They are far from professional, more like Stooges! They are very nice in the sales portion of this event, then when it comes time to check
the status of the shutters or get an installation date, they give you the runaround for weeks. They promise the world and deliver far short. They say that the products are made in the USA, however after careful research, I have found out that the Shutters
they use are imported from CHINA!!! They promote 100% real North American Basswood shutters. I don't think China made shutters are made from North American Basswood! If you ask to go see the shutter factory, you get a song and dance, because you'd have to
travel to China to see it! I've talked to a few other shutter companies and they have assured me that this company is a bunch of scammers and crooks. I have researched the owners and found many things. Look up GREG DAVIS, GREGORY ALLEN DAVIS and RIPOFF REPORT.COM
and you will see the trail of destruction he has have left behind. GREG DAVIS had no less than 5 company names in the past 10 years. The installers do not have a contractors license. The company has one, but they do not have the installers as employee's, and
this is against the law! You get a poor guy that can hardly speak English that is going to come into your home and do work, wow! I've cancelled my credit card and disputed the charges after finding out all these things about GREG DAVIS. He charged my card
three times, then said it was a computer error! I've never had a computer charge my credit card! The only thing that saved us was the fact that we used a credit card. We have since ordered our shutters with another local company and are very pleased with the
service and the products. don't get caught up with these guys. They'll give you a song and dance and promise you everything under the sun. When they walk out the door with your deposit of 50% (which is against the law. 10% is the law), the nightmare begins.
I have filed a complaint with the State contractors lic board and the BBB. I understand the GREG DAVIS has been sued several times and has since file for bankruptcy and has hidden this company in other family members names. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
