Customer service at discounttires.com is almost non-existent. I placed an order online, registered my info on their website, and received a confirmation email from them. All items in my order were in stock. Three days after the expected shipping date I still had not received shipping and tracking information. Attempts to log onto the site were met by error notices telling me I had to register. Customer service was called, and they told me my order has been received but had not been sent to the mounting facility. The order was to be sent that day, mounted the next morning, and shipped in the afternoon. I was told that customer service would not help me with my online account issues - I would have to go online and contact technical support. When I went to the support page and attempted contact I received a message stating that the email address on the website was not an active account. I called customer service to ask about tech support and was told there was nothing they could do to help.
Five days after the second date that shipping was promised I called ask about status. I was told that the tires and rims were being shipped that day, but had not been mounted, and wouldn't be mounted. I informed customer service that if the order could not be mounted it was to be cancelled. At that time I was told the order would be mounted and shipped that day, and that tracking info would be emailed to me. The order was mounted, it was shipped that day, and tracking info was forwarded.
Unfortunately, the tracking info was incomplete and useless, and only part of the order was actually shipped (already 8 days late).
When the incomplete order arrived on a Saturday morning I called customer service and was told that the remainder of the order would ship overnight Fedex on Monday, and that tracking info would be emailed to me. Tuesday, when neither the tracking info or the order had arrived, I once again called customer service, was transferred to a supervisor, and was told my order had actually shipped the previous Friday by ground Fedex. Tracking info was promised via email the next morning.
Thursday evening: no order and no email received. Another call to the same customer service supervisor, who promised to get a tracking number and call me within 15 minutes. Two hours later - no contact and no information received - another call to the same supervisor, who said he couldn't find tracking info, and couldn't find the person who would have that data.
Nearly three weeks since I paid for this order and not only do I not have it, but I also can't get anyone to help find it.
