I went in there because my car temperature gauge made it look like my car was overheating. I was having no issues with my car. It was running fine but the temperature gauge was high. They told me that my water pump was leaking. I never had any puddles underneath my car. When we told this to the guy, he said that the water pump must be leaking on the engine and evaporating. I don't know cars but I know physics. I know things don't drip up. They also told me that my timing belt needed to be replaced and that they would have to remove it to get to the water pump anyways. My timing belt had been replaced about 15000 miles ago. They quoted me $950. Based on my minimal knowledge of cars and physics, I figured they were trying to make a quick buck. I was complaining to my coworkers and one recommended a friend. I took my car to him. He replaced the thermostat and my car is working fine. He did a full inspection and told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my water pump and that my timing belt was in great condition. I definitely wont take my car there again. I would have given it 0 stars but it wouldn't let me.
