BREACH of CONTRACT!
I listed my Mercedes with Exotic Motor Cars in 2006 as I had to move overseas to work. I signed a contract with Exotic Motor Cars and they agreed to notify me for any and all repairs prior to selling my car.
The listed the car at a price much higher than it was worth and the car did not sell for over a year. Worse, they made in excess of $3,000 worth of repairs to my car prior to sale WITHOUT getting my approval. They had my contact information and I always had to contact them. They never contacted me, even when the car was finally sold.
They breached the contract I had with them by making repairs without getting my approval first as called for in the contract.
I was told I either accepted the reduced payment or pay for repairs I did not authorise and take the car back. I put this car on consignment because I was moving overseas.
Were I still a resident of US I would have sued them in small claims court but from overseas it is too difficult.
BEWARE of Exotic Motor Cars! They made unauthorised repairs on my car without my approval in breach of their contract and when I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau they lied in response to my complaint by saying I agreed to a reduced price. They failed to acknowledge that they breached the contract with me.
I am very upset with the poor service and failure to notify me before making such expensive repairs on my car in accordance with the contract they signed.
I would be VERY cautious about entering into a contract with Exotic Motor Cars.
