I put a bad review because I am 69 years old I moved into a studio on 42nd St. in Los Angeles,CA through Fred Leeds Management. I was currently living there for about 13 days after signing the lease. I have had my son in law come in and move my furniture and belongings while I was at work instead of hiring someone to move in my belongings. While I was at work the manager of the apartment building had reported to the leasing company Fred Leeds that there was black male living in the studio and he was not on the lease. Mind you my son in law came to help me move furniture and my belongings a couple of times . Like I said im 69 years old I can’t move stuff by myself.I then spoke to a lady name Racquel M. told me that I was getting evicted and had to move out because they seen a black male living there . I was in distraught and couldn’t believe how racist they were and how they falsely accused my son in law was living there. Just because the manager seen him move my furniture in . Im currently a flight attendant and I owned many properties before and I moved to a studio that was convenient to me and closer to my kids and grandkids . I have never been evicted or threatened before that I was going to get a evicted . I had my family look up my rights and I talked to my friend that’s is a leasing office and told me my rights. In the state of California there’s lawful rights and the proper way to evict tenant. The lady Raquel emailed me every single day harassing me to return the keys or else they will make sure my credit is ruined and a eviction will be stuck to my record. They never filed a real notice and verbally harassed me at my age and made me go through stress to move out. I have hired a lawyer to help me with this . The leasing company refused to give me back my security deposit because Racquel excuse was there is a black male occupant that was not on the lease you will not get your money back. I then hired my lawyer to help me with this. I have never been through such a horrific experience before in my years of living. It’s not a safe area to live and I wouldn’t recommend anybody to rent from this management or be apart of this building I was living in . I also have proof of emails and videos of how good condition the apartment was when I left.
