Glow.com is involved in the "legal scamming" practice that has been sweeping the internet for years. This is how it works:
Glow.com post ads all over the internet advertising free products. In the ad, they tell you that your only obligation is to pay shipping and handling. No where does it warn you that you must return the products within thirty days or they will charge the outrageous amount for the product. We are talking $100.00 eye cream folks. An eye cream that claims you will see reduced fine lines in just 2 weeks. Well, you don't! I used it and it did nothing but dry my skin out. At any rate, a glow.com ad will lead you to a credit card check-out page once you have selected your "free trial offer" (which is what it is changed to). At the bottom (in easy to ignore print) they explain to you that you will be charged for the products if you do not return them within 30 days. They also do not tell you, that you must cancel your membership.
When I called their customer service to inquire about my checking account being charged for almost $200.00 by their company, they informed me that it is what I signed up for. I insisted that I did not see anything written anywhere about paying $200.00 for some crappy products. When I went through the site with the rep, there it was. At the very bottom it explains that what I got what only a free trial and if I kept the products then I would be charged for them. Kind of ridiculous don't you think? You can use the entire product up within 30 days and send it back and not be charged, but you are charged if you keep it. How does that work out?
Anyway, if you call their customer service center don't expect too much. The reps will not allow you to talk to a supervisor. Yes, they use the "all of our supervisors are busy" tactic on you. Also, upon reading many on-line reviews about this company, they may charge you even if you return the product. If you get yourself wrapped up in this scam, please keep all of your receipts and confirmation numbers. Don't do what I did and not understand what you are getting into by not reading the small print.
