I wanted to have new carpet installed in my home. Lowe's sent someone to measure for $51. They did the measurements and called me to come pick out a carpet, when I got there they staffer said "we can't install carpet in the house one of the rooms has a old vinyl floor (asbestos hazard). I said fine, let me have the measurements and was told that giving the measurements out was against store policy. Staffer called the manager who told me the same thing, I said I paid for those measurements I want my measurements, he told me that if they handed out the measurements and the measurements were wrong that they (lowe's) would be responsible for the carpet shortage. I told him that sounds ridiculous. He stated he would make things better and refund my money. I got my money back and the man said you can still buy your carpet here. I cannot stand this company anymore--they acted as if it would cause a natural disaster if the carpet measurements were wrong. At any rate I will no longer give them any business.
