I went in for an 8am appt. Dr. Le was late and started wiping off my lipstick rudely. Asked me how often I brushed, I said 3 times a day and she asked how often do you floss. I said once. She said this can't be true. I can tell you are lying by your teeth. She said you need the high performance cleaning. I said my dad is a dentist and I prefer to have a regular cleaning. She got up, walked to the door and said-I cannot treat you, go see your dad then. Medically you have gingivitis and need a deeper cleaning. I said I would really just prefer the 5 dollar cleaning for right now rather than the 90 dollar cleaning. As I have an HMO. She said look I'll show you. She paces back and forth thru the hallways until she finds a mirror and brings it back to me and she shows me nothing. I ask her why she is being rude and she says that I am rude. She storms off saying I cannot treat you. We have no patient/doctor relationship. The last time I was there they said I had a cavity and I can read xrays as well and I said that is artifact. She wanted to drill on me. I got a 2nd opinion and xray and sure enough artifact. All I wanted today was my $5 cleaning. Shouldn't the customer be right. I am a practitioner too. I wasn't demanding, I wasn't requesting narcotics, I wasn't rude. I was treated poorly and many others as you can see by the yelp link. The office makes $ off of HMO by requesting procedures.
