HORRIBLE. I am writing this review as honest as possible so no one else suffering with any mental health issues goes through this.
One of the worst experiences of my life and I would ONLY recommend someone if they were DESPERATE. Thankfully I just needed medication maintenance. There is nothing mindful or urgent in this facility. The customer service overall is dire. First of all, a patient can never speak directly to their provider. Anything urgent - nope you won't be speaking to your provider. You will be speaking to the incompetent support staff. Many times I've gotten email responses from different people for the same thing. One time I was on the phone with a staff member and I had a call waiting from another staff member for the same topic. I actually asked the staff member – don’t you guys have a way to communicate to each other?? The medical director of the West Hempstead office Dr P or whoever, is in charge of the facility should be ashamed of themselves. They would never send their loved ones to MUC if they experienced what patients experience. And please disregard all the "nice" things they say on the website - like “same day psychiatry” or “we treat you like family”. I had better service from strangers. And I did not get same day psychiatry - it took 5 days after my initial call to get an appointment. When I questioned the "same day psychiatry" as stated in the website - the answer was, that is the first available appointment. It really is a shame, as the concept has potential. Surely, someone from MUC reads this reviews - but apparently doesn't care.
