Review 6/6/2010
|
On June 5, 2010 I made a reservation for July 2-5 on Pajaro Dunes web site. I received a written confirmation for the dates at $1,079.40. The confirmation had some small print on the bottom indicating "this is not a confirmed reservation until you have been contacted by a member of Guest Services. I was contacted by phone and told that my reservation could not be honored because of the holiday and it would be $400 more. I explained that I had a confirmed reservation and that this was "bait and switch" advertising. Two more phone calls later and Pajaro Dunes offered to cancel my reservation. I told them I wanted them to honor the original reservation and that their web site was a form of "bait and switch" advertising. They were uncooperative even though I had done business with them in the past. The purpose of this post is to warn of deceptive advertising practices by the Pajaro Dunes Company. I would give them a no star rating but that is not available.
