Bad Jeep Cherokee engine

I bought a 2001 Jeep Cherokee for $9100. One week later I took to my mechanic to fix oil leak on engine. He dropped the oil pan and found the oil pump was wobbling(loose). He looked at a couple of main bearings and found scoring and heat damage. He said the engine would need a complete rebuild due to the damage caused by the loose oil pump and advised me to return it to the dealer to resolve. They took videos and pics that I texted to Paul's. I took it back to Paul's and asked to take it back. They would only give me back $5200 and of course would not rebuild it. There was a 30 warranty for engine and drivetrain included in the deal.
