We were solicited by a sales rep (who, at first, called herself a client manager) last May by Secure Audit Group by email. They wanted us to know we were eligible to join one of the many mass-joinder lawsuits against our lender that were trendy at the time. We actually had signed on with a law firm regarding that already, and I responded with that information. The sales rep continued to contact me, saying we would still need help negotiating a loan mod with our lender in the meantime. After much back and forth in which I expressed a LOT of concern about their actual ability to help us (we'd already been ripped off by Guardian Credit, who eventually got closed down for loan mod fraud), we finally agreed. We told them we could not afford their fee, and Lynne, the sales rep, promised us she would arrange a payment plan we could afford. This payment plan was never put in writing, despite our numerous requests. She simply would demand a payment periodically. Meanwhile, the company failed to respond promptly to our calls, never submitted a completed loan mod request to our lender, and eventually our home was sold. SAG failed to even notify us that the sale date hadn't been postponed - we had to find that out by calling our lender (a big no-no, according to SAG's contract, therefore they can claim we were non-compliant). Our home was sold out from under us, SAG then refused to respond to any of our calls or emails - except, finally to email us with a threat of legal action if did not retract our BBB complaint. They have not refunded the $1,950.00 we've paid them. I have so many emails from Lynne stating "we will NOT let you lose your house!!!!" along with many other lofty claims - all of which, clearly, were things SAG could not back up. We have now lost our home and were forced to find a rental and move within 20 days of the sale date. Our lives have been damaged in ways I can't even explain. We lost a lot of money due to being unable to work (we are printers who work from home) during the move - we had to turn down several lucrative orders because we couldn't use our equipment while we were moving and unpacking. Steer clear of this company!! Their service was inept and did nothing but cause us to lose our house and a lot of money.
