I ordered a Smith Machine FBR-850 from this company for my home gym. The price I paid was for the product, delivery into my home, and set up. Although Star Trac long ago charged me the full amount on my credit card, I am still waiting for them to complete their part of the transaction.
On their first delivery attempt, the company sent me the wrong color. I wanted a white frame; they sent me a grey frame. I provided proof that in fact I had ordered a white frame and they agreed to try again.
After another waiting period, the company attempted a second delivery. This time the color was correct, but the machine arrived sitting on the floor of a tractor trailer already fully assembled and not wrapped!!!! There was nothing on it! No blankets, bubble wrap, nothing. It was nicked, scraped, dented, had paint marks left from other products on it. The driver of the truck, who was a local delivery guy and not responsible for its wrapping, was incredulous when I told him the product was supposed to be new. He said he thought I was getting used equipment from ebay!
Of course I refused delivery and now I am waiting to hear back from Star Trac on what's next.
I thought you all might like to know, in case you may be thinking about ordering from them.
