I decided to use United Law Group to help with our mortgage problems. Right away I should've known there was something wrong, but desperate times sometimes create desperate people. I called ULG three days after they they took their "debit" out of my bank account and requested to cancel services and be refunded my $3000 since no work had been performed. Tom London(?) told me a refund shouldn't be a problem since nothing had been done and he said he annotated my account of my request. Several days later, I finally get a hold of a Nicole Blain regarding refund. She faxes me a "Release of Liability" form to sign. ULG wants to keep $1300 for fees generated to collect my monies! They request me to sign this "Release of Liability" and agree to that amount AND to NEVER say anything negative about them...... EVER.
My question is: If their fee just to collect $3000 is $1300, what kind of service am I really going to receive when they "Agressively negotiate on my behalf" with my lender to modify my loan?? I still can not get someone to work with me on this issue at ULG. Nicole Blain (apparently) doesn't work there anymore, and now I'm dealing with Cain Rodriguez. Same old story.... "Trying to resolve this for you, but haven't had time to talk to my supervisor."
I'd advise anyone NOT to do business with ULG. I'm hoping to receive my money back, but it doesn't look good. This company did an excellent job figuring out how to "legally" sucker people who are already in a bad situation, into a worse one. These other posts that are "positive" about ULG are more than likely employees who work there. Consumers beware, hang on to what money you have.
