My Husband and I signed up with Westbury and Duke back in July 2010. We were told they would negotiate with all of our creditors to come to a debt settlement. They said they worked with all the companies we had credit cards through. We were paying $334.00 a month. They told us we may receive a few calls from our creditors while things were still in progress, and if that happened to write their information down and call them and fax it to them. They assured us they would take care if it. This happened several times and no one in that company took care of anything. We started getting letters from attorneys threatening bankruptcy. Come to find out none of the companies we had credit cards with worked with WD. We were never informed of this throughout the process. It was to our understanding they had contacted all of our creditors and they were working out a settlement. They have done nothing but continue to collect our money and ruin our good credit. We have had to find a different way to settle our debt. This company owes us $2672.00 to which we would be able to pay towards our debt. Upon cancelling with WD we were told someone would contact us in 30 days to discuss a refund. No one contacted us. They did send a refund of $419.00 to our bank, but kept the rest for themselves for fees. We have tried to call them back to argue, and have left several messages. No one has returned our calls. They do not deserve to keep this money since they did nothing for us but ruin our credit. This is the most selfish and heartless company. They care nothing about you. They only care about lying and getting your money to screw over whoever comes along next.
