SmileCare Family Dentistry - Temecula, Ca. (Riverside)
My first experience will be my last. I went in for 1st time x-rays and cleaning. I found out I needed deep cleaning which I agreed to knowing my insurance covered the cost. Then while my right side of my mouth was numb they wanted to take care of a filling and cavity. I asked how much total, after checking with my insurance they quoted me $225. I agreed thinking they knew what they were doing. During the procedure the dentist went in and removed a pre-existing crown. He said it wasn't sitting right and needed to be fix. I didn't agree to that. Now I am sitting here with a temporary and not able to chew on that side of my mouth afraid that the temporary would fall out. Why try to fix something that wasn't broken, now I am suffering due to their negligence. After all said and done my appt was at 9am I walked out of the office at 130pm and was charged $275.00. By their mistake they didn't charge me for the temporary crown. That still doesn't solve my crown being gone nor the problem. I called my insurance the following Monday to find out I should have never been charged for the deep cleaning, as for the filling they charged me for, depending on the location shouldn't have been charged for that either. SmileCare didn't give me the option for my filling and chose a filling that may not have been covered by my insurance carrier. Now I am furious. I have called them to obtain a copy of what was done which should have been given before I left and wasn't. Gina (office manager) told me over the phone today that she would get it to my today sometime after she checks in all the patients.. What kind of customer service is that. Needles to say I canceled all future appts. and will fight to get a complete refund. After reading all the bad reviews I am blessed that I didn't spend as much as some of you all. I'm sorry for your hardship with them.
