Every time my husband and I have been to SmileCare we have been displeased. Two separate times that we made appointments for a cleaning & checkup they call us in after waiting 45 minutes in the waiting room & we sit in the chair for OVER 1 hour & the Dr. comes in and looks in our mouths with a mirror and says, "OK you have no cavities all you need is a cleaning". I then let her know on BOTH occasions, we scheduled a cleaning & that's why were here. She says "there's no Hygienist available now to give you guys a cleaning". We haven't received a cleaning in over a year now because of that.
When we went to get our wisdom teeth removed & waited 1 hour before they called us. My husband went in 1 hour before me. He was out about 45 minutes later. I was in the room in front of him and I heard the dental assistant say to my husband "you need to wake up now your wasting our time". I was only in there 20 minutes before they wheeled me out to my moms car with my head in between my legs because they never let me wake up from the anesthesia. They left my mom there to put me in her SUV. She had to yell for them to come back & they shoved me in. On the way home it looked like I was siezuring & my husband and mom were so scared they wanted to take me to the hospital. They couldn't get me to stop & wake up till about 30 minutes later, at home. They told us beforehand that we would be there 1 hour and 20 minutes because the procedure takes 20 minutes & they wait for us to wake up for 1 hour to make sure we come out of it ok and don't have any reactions!! They are unprofessional! What if I did have a reaction to it? I told them I've never been under before!
That's not it, a few days later we went back because they owed us money because we paid for 4 of mine and they only pulled 3. The receptionist argued with me saying the oral surgeon signed off for all 4. She looked in my mouth and said she saw a hole where I said he didn't pull one. I told her I know it's still in there I don't have stitches. She said I don't know what to tell you because I see a hole. I said well you better X-ray me then. She tried to give me the X-rays that insert into your mouth and I couldn't open wide enough because I just had the surgery and she told me that she couldn't give me X-rays then. I told her yes you can give me the one that spins around my head. She said Oh ok and gave it to me and found out I was right and told the receptionist they owed us money. Then after they found out that they owed us money, all of a sudden I owed a $50 deductible that was unpaid and they said the $50 they owed me would be applied to that. Then they told my husband that he owed a $50 deductible also. He then argued that he paid it on his last visit, 3 weeks before. They argued with him about it until he gave the specific date that he paid it. Then all of a sudden they said he paid it! It seems like their very dishonest and seem to get any money that they can. It has been 7 days since we had the surgery and were still in pain and our cheeks are still puffy and bruised! Most likely they were not gentle since they pulled out 3 of mine in about 10-15 minutes. They treated us like cattle, get them in and get them out. Never go to SmileCare!!!
Also to add in on an unrelated subject to us, when we were in the waiting room they were discussing 2 different patients finances in front of everybody. They were talking rude saying that the patients owed them money and that they couldn't be treated unless they paid some money upfront. One guy asked how much and they replied more then $100 and he said he could pay $200 and they said what about $500? Then they told another lady that she owed them over $4000 and asked why she even came in to be treated. The girl had no idea she owed money and the receptionist told her "Oh honey you knew you owed money we called you 5 times and you even answered once and hung up because you knew it was us". They were being very loud and inconsiderate of sharing their patients personal business. The receptionists also love to text and talk on their cellphones in front of patients. I can go on and on about SmileCare and I have nothing good to say about that company!
